God enters through the wound

To be alone is to feel.
To recall a past life, a life lived, a life less lived.
Friends made and friends lost.
Ideologies embraced, hopes, prayers and promises void.
Empty vessels of the darkest black. Empty vessels of the lightest white.
Sex, drugs and alcohol fuelled explorations of the mind body and soul.
But not my mind.
Not my body.
Not my soul.
Still running from that feeling, that inexplicable, dreaded fucking feeling that is my soul. That faceless inner child.
I can’t fuck it away. I can’t drink it away. I can’t smoke it away. I can’t work it away. I can’t sweat it away. I can’t eat it away. I can’t sleep it away. I can’t starve it away. I can’t bleed it away. I can’t pray it away.
I can’t psychoanalyse it away.
My mind exhausted.
My body broken.
My soul. Seen.
That child, no longer faceless.
“If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you”
The gospel of Thomas
